Beginning with observations taken February 11, 2026, the extensions are available in the FITS files as well as extracted IPAC (tab delimted) table files for science and calibration files that have a match on the slitmask name in the archive. The tables are visible from the Raw quicklook link from the search results as well as in the download package data. Note that the extension numbering is different between red (LR), and blue (LB) FITS files.
General Design Information Contains the general mask information, such as the mask central coordinates, observing dates, and design software information.
ext5
ext2
OBSERVERS
Observer Information Contains contact information regarding the principal investigator of the mask.
ext6
ext3
OBJECTCAT
Object Coordinates Contains the coordinates and target types of each slit in the mask. The slit central Right Ascension and Declination are found in the table.
ext7
ext4
SLITOBJMAP
Slit Object Map Is an internal table used by the Keck slitmask database to map the target to slit information.
ext8
ext5
DESISLITS
Slit Design Information Contains the information about the individual slits. The slit width, length, and position angle are included in the table.
ext9
ex6
BLUEPRINT
General Blueprint Information Stores the mask blueprint. The table includes blueprint identification numbers, software versions, and milling status.
ext10
ext7
BLUEPRINT_OSERVERS
Blueprint Observer Information This is similar to the OBSERVERS table, but associated to the blueprint instead of the mask as a whole. When a blueprint is used for several masks, the information contained can be different than the OBSERVER table.
ext11
ext8
BLUSLITS
Mask Slit Position Contains the X,Y positions of the slit corners in the mask reference frame. The information stored here is used by the mask milling software at Keck to mill the mask.
ext12
ext9
MASKBLU
Mask Status and Identification Contains the X,Y positions of the slit corners in the mask reference frame. The information stored here is used by the mask milling software at Keck to mill the mask.

This research has made use of the Keck Observatory Archive (KOA), which is operated by the W. M. Keck Observatory and the NASA Exoplanet Science Institute (NExScI), under contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Please also acknowledge the PI(s) of datasets that have been obtained through KOA, and please contact the KOA Help Desk if you publish archival data.
If your research uses data reduced by the DEIMOS, KCWI, MOSFIRE, or NIRES PypeIt DRP, please use the PypeIt Citation.
If your research uses data reduced by the KPF DRP, please use the citation as described in the README.md.
The Keck Observatory Archive (KOA) is a collaboration between the NASA Exoplanet Science Institute (NExScI) and the W. M. Keck Observatory (WMKO). NExScI is sponsored by NASA's Exoplanet Exploration Program, and operated by the California Institute of Technology in coordination with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
